Retro Surrealism
Fine Art Photography
Chris Andricola earned a BFA in Studio Art from
Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ. Chris’s fascination with classic American culture of the 1950s and 60s is evident in both his photography and graphic design work. He draws from many sources to create a retro-futurist surreal world and utilizes this aesthetic to comment about our society and culture. His compositions tend to be narrative, saturated, and cinematic.
He regularly exhibits his photography at local galleries including the Perkins Center for the Arts and the Markeim Art Center. Additionally, Chris has worked with notable advertising agencies such as Red Tettemer O'Connell + Partners in Philly.

With installations, performances, photo, and video work, Other Spaces builds a playful dystopia that specifically points to DuPont Chemical Company's role in plastic dependency, nuclear waste, and wealth inequality in the 1950s.
